We are proud to share a snapshot of the delicious, balanced meals our children enjoy every day at school, provided by School Food United (SFU) in partnership with Sodexo.

As you can see, our menus offer a fantastic variety, including: freshly prepared hot meals; a wide range of fruit and vegetables; Vegetarian options; tasty treats and special themed lunches; well-balanced choices to support growing bodies and minds. Our catering teams work hard to ensure meals are nutritious, appealing, and child-friendly, helping children enjoy their lunch while developing healthy eating habits. Don’t forget – meals can be easily booked in advance using the SFU App, giving you flexibility and ensuring your child doesn’t miss out on their preferred choice.

WK 9.01.2026 – Celebrating our Attendance this week!

In today’s Assembly we have celebrated the Star of the Week and Attendance. Attached is a list of all the Star of the Week winners for each class.

Attendance This Week
We aim for every class to reach at least 96% attendance, in line with national expectations. This week, a special well done goes to Year 6 – Mr Stevenson’s class and Kingfishers – Miss Johnston’s class who had the highest attendance percentage for last week with 97% attendance, To celebrate this – the students in both classes class had a morning toast treat this Friday. 

Thank you to all our families for continuing to support excellent attendance — it really does make a difference to children’s learning.

Little fingers, big concentration! Year 2 enjoyed learning origami and turning paper into something special.

 

The snow and frost this week were a great start to learning about our new topic of winter. We explored the snow through play and discussed melting. In Maths this week we have been learning about capacity. Exploring language such as more/less/greater/fewer and wider/narrower. We solved problems and made estimations. 

 

The deadline for applying for a Reception place for September 2026 is 15 January 2026. This is for children whose date of birth is between 1 September 2021 – 31 August 2022. Please apply via the Trafford Council website: Portal Home . 

 

As part of the sessions some of our students have with our ELSA (Emotional Literacy Support Assistant), the children have been learning about anger and how it feels. Working together as a team, the children shared ideas, talked about emotions and collaborated to create an “angry face”. Activities like this help children recognise their feelings, understand emotions, and develop healthy ways to express themselves.

Well done to everyone involved for such thoughtful teamwork and emotional learning.
