If your child is eligible for a Free School Meal (FSM) we need you to register to ensure school receives the additional funding available.
Children who attend Reception to Year 2 are entitled to a meal free of charge under a government scheme called Universal Infant Free School Meals, but we still need you to register in order for our school to receive the additional Pupil Premium funding if you are eligible under one of the specified criteria (please refer to the Eligibility Criteria).
Our school receives extra funding for every child recorded as being eligible for a free school meal – £1,455 per year for Reception to Year 6 pupils and £1,035 per year for Year 7 to 11 pupils.
Imagine what that additional funding could be used for… books, devices, trips and residentials!
By ensuring that as many eligible children as possible are registered, our school will receive the maximum Pupil Premium Funding available, which will benefit your child and the whole school.
No one will know you have registered, and it will not affect any other benefits you are claiming.
Your child may be eligible for a Free School Meal if you are in receipt of one of the qualifying benefits which include:
Children who receive these benefits themselves instead of through a parent or guardian can also qualify for Free School Meals.
A child may qualify if they are an asylum seeker.
Free school meal eligibility has been permanently extended to children in all households with no recourse to public funds (NRPF), subject to maximum income thresholds.
Children who are younger than the compulsory age for starting school but in full-time education can also get Free School Meals
There is a quick and simple way to apply to ensure our school receives this essential funding:

Important: applications should be per child so if you have more than one child, you need to complete an application for each of them.
