Hands-On Learning with the WI: Gardening and Knitting Fun!

As part of our Friday afternoon experiential learning sessions, some of our Year 2 and Year 6 pupils have been getting hands-on with life skills alongside Mrs Tomlinson, Nanny Pat, and Jean from the Women’s Institute (WI).

These wonderful sessions have included gardening and knitting, giving children the chance to learn practical skills, build confidence, and enjoy working alongside members of our wider community. It’s been a joy to see the children so engaged — planting, creating, and learning through real-life experiences.

A big thank you to our friends from the WI for sharing their time and talents with us!
