Sports Leaders Event

Acre Hall Primary School – Year 5 Sports Leaders

On Tuesday 29th April, our Year 5 Sports Leaders attended their second group session where they lead a sports activity to year 2 children from other schools in Trafford.

We are so proud of our sports leaders they play a pivotal role in promoting physical activity, teamwork and leadership within Acre Hall. They act as role models and encourage their peers to stay active and make healthy choices. Tuesday was a fantastic opportunity to see how our sports leaders have developed their own confidence, communication and organisational skills.

Well done everyone!

Year 3 Trip to Tatton Park

Our Year 3 students embarked on a time-travel adventure at Tatton Park on Monday, 28th April.

The students have learned how to harvest grain and hand-grinded wheat into flour. They have also practiced Viking battle and defense techniques. Additionally they took a guided deer-tracking walk and learned how different furs were used for clothing and shelter. Last but not least, they have also learned how to make things out of wool.

What an immersive journey into Anglo-Saxon and Viking life!

Star of the Week 25.04.2025

WK 25.04.2025 – Celebrating our Stars & Attendance this week!

This week we are proud to celebrate our Stars of the Week. A special congratulations to Kai M in Year 3, who not only earned Star of the Week but was also recognised as our KS2 Music Star. In KS1, Edison from Year 1 was awarded the Music Star title — well done! Other outstanding Stars from each year group are included in the attachment shared. Each of these pupils has shown wonderful effort, kindness and achievement this week.

In attendance, we are thrilled to celebrate the classes who achieved 96% and above. Reception, Year 1, Year 2 (Miss Williams), Year 3, Year 3/4, Year 4, and Year 5 all reached or exceeded our school target of 96%. A huge well done to these classes for their brilliant attendance and commitment to learning.

The Attendance Award this week goes to two classes who both achieved an outstanding 98% — Miss Williams’ Year 2 class and Miss Johnson’s Year 3 class. Fantastic effort from everyone involved!

Thank you to all our students, parents and staff for your continued support. Let’s keep striving for success and maintaining high attendance rates!
