Father Christmas Visits Acre Hall

We had a very special surprise at Acre Hall School this morning when Father Christmas made an unforgettable arrival – landing right on the school roof!

The children were full of excitement as they spotted him waving from above before he made his way inside to visit some of the classes. There were lots of smiles, waving, cheering, and plenty of festive magic to end the term on a high.

Star of the Week 19.12.2025

WK 19.12.2025 – Celebrating our Attendance this week!

In today’s Assembly we have celebrated the Star of the Week and Attendance. Attached is a list of all the Star of the Week winners for each class.

Attendance This Week
We aim for every class to reach at least 96% attendance, in line with national expectations. This week, a special well done goes to Year 5 – Miss Atherton’s class who had the highest attendance percentage for last week with 98% attendance, followed closely by Yr 4 R – Mrs Robson’s class who achieved 97% attendance. To celebrate this – the students in Miss Atherton’s class had a morning toast treat this Friday.

Thank you to all our families for continuing to support excellent attendance — it really does make a difference to children’s learning.

Jack and the Beanstalk Pantomime

We are delighted to share with you a snapshot of our school Pantomime that took place today – Jack and the Beanstalk! A huge thank you to all our parents and families that have supported FOAH’s fundraising events helping them raise funds to pay for this fantastic opportunity for our pupils. A big thank you to FOAH for organising this event.

Thank You to The Toy House

We would like to say a heartfelt thank you to The Toy House for their incredibly kind donation of Christmas gifts for our children at Acre Hall School.

The generosity and care shown by The Toy House team ensures that our children are able to experience the magic of Christmas, and we are so grateful for their continued support. Their work not only makes a difference to our school but also has a huge positive impact across the wider community.

Thank you to everyone involved at The Toy House for everything you do — your kindness truly embodies the spirit of Christmas!

Reception visit DeBrook Lodge

Our Reception class had a wonderful visit to DeBrook Care Home, where they sang festive Christmas carols to the residents. It was truly heart-warming to see the smiles on everyone’s faces and how much the residents enjoyed the children’s company. To finish their performance, the children presented the residents with delicious mince pies as a special treat from Acre Hall School, along with a beautiful handmade Christmas wreath created by the children themselves.

The visit ended on a high note when the children were kindly treated to some lovely Christmas gifts from the care home. A magical experience for all, filled with kindness, community spirit and festive joy.

FOAH – Raffle Hampers Winners

A huge Thank You for all the students and parents support in raising funds for our latest FOAH Fundraising. FOAH has raised a total of £700 from this Fundraising. This is absolutely fantastic news as these funds will be used for our school. The Winners of the Coloured Hampers have been announced in this morning’s assembly.
