Star of the Week 26.09.2025

WK 26.09.2025 – Celebrating our Attendance this week!

In today’s Assembly we have celebrated the Star of the Week and Attendance.

Attendance This Week
We aim for every class to reach at least 96% attendance, in line with national expectations. This week, a special well done goes to our Year 5 (Miss Thomlinson’s class) who has achieved 96% attendance this week.

Thank you to all our families for continuing to support excellent attendance — it really does make a difference to children’s learning.

Sensory Circuit Time

We are delighted to share some wonderful snapshots of our students taking part in Sensory Circuit activities here at Acre Hall. These sessions help students start their day with focus, calmness and energy – ready to learn. Our Sensory Circuits are specially designed to support physical and emotional regulation through fun and engaging movement-based activities. A huge thank you to Mrs Zielinski and Mrs McKay Gaffney for their dedication in setting up and running the circuits this year. Their support is making a real difference in helping our students thrive.

Tiny Acres have had a wonderful start!

Our youngest learners in the Tiny Acres 2-Year-Old Nursery Provision, led by Mrs Watson, have had a fantastic start to their new school journey!

The children have been busy exploring their brand-new environment, settling in beautifully as they take part in a wide range of fun and enriching activities. From the very beginning, they have been getting creative with mark-making using a variety of tools and materials, including brushes, paint and even flour!

As part of their daily routine, the children are encouraged to keep active with morning exercises, helping them to stretch and move their bodies to start the day with energy and smiles. They have also enjoyed plenty of time outdoors, exploring the school field on wellie walks, and using the playground equipment, including trikes, cars and large-scale building materials like planks and bricks, sparking their imagination and problem-solving skills.

In addition, the children have been introduced to more structured physical activity through PE sessions held in our school hall, where they’ve been developing their coordination, balance, and confidence.

It has been such a joy to watch our Tiny Acres children explore, create and grow – we are so proud of how well they are settling into their new learning environment. Stay tuned for more updates as our journey continues!
